I have just been dismissed by my employer of 2 years, what can I do?

Question

Based on the information you have given me and information on employment law. As you have been an employee for more than 2 years with a contract of employment, you are entitled to employment rights. Therefore, if you wanted to challenge your dismissal, you should promptly contact ACAS. There are an organization which attempts over a 4-week period to conciliate employer and employees’ grievances and disputes, including terminations. You have a 3-month time limit from the date of termination to bring a claim. If you are challenging the dismissal, you will first need to exhaust the processes from ACAS before seeking further legal redress. Please note, that using ACAS does not stop you from contacting an employment lawyer to get help and guidance on this matter. I have included the link to the ACAS website. https://www.acas.org.uk/dispute-resolution.
